What should be considered after the sinus lifting operation?
After the sinus lifting operation, in order to protect the wound area, care should be taken to eat with the other part of the mouth for 24 hours. Nothing should be eaten or drunk for two hours after the procedure. After the sinus lift procedure, pressure should not be applied while cleaning the nose and the mouth should be kept open while sneezing.
Is implant treatment effective in sinus prolapse?
Sinus sagging increase due to factors such as anatomical factors and edentulism. After tooth loss, the sinus cavity begins to descend towards that area and the sinus cavity expands.

Are there different applications in the sinus lifting application?
There are different applications in sinus lifting. The best known are open sinus surgery and closed sinus surgery. In open sinus surgery, the membrane is removed directly by reaching the sinus membrane. It can be done in the same session with the implant.
The amount of bone should be more for closed sinus surgeries. After reaching the sinus from the cavity to be implanted, the membrane there is removed and an artificial material or parts taken from the patient’s bone are placed in that area.
In Which Condition Can Open Sinus Lifting Not Be Performed?
Serious bone resorption is observed in patients with teeth withdrawn because of not performing implant treatments after years. This melting significantly reduces bone volume in the vertical or horizontal direction. After the removal of the teeth, the sinus cavities hang down and extend to the top of the bone.
In cases where the height of the jawbone decreases, it is impossible to place a dental implant in the area where the sinuses sag. Open sinus lifting is not available for this application. Implants should be placed after 6 months.
After sinus lifting application
It is very important to pay attention to hygiene after sinus lifting operations. The use of antibiotics, the use of drugs, ice application should be done as recommended by your doctor. Pressure applied from the nose after the operation will also affect the sinuses. This pressure can put the transaction at risk. For up to 10 days, it is important that the patient behaves in a way that does not create pressure in the nose while sneezing or cleaning his nose.
